Custom Augers’ heavy duty tree planters make planting fast, fun and easy. These earth augers are an excellent choice for large planting projects. Attach to a 1/2” heavy duty corded or gas drill and dig holes easily to plant
- young trees and seedlings
- shrubs, potted tomatoes and other larger diameter plants
- decorative grasses such as pampas or monkey grass
- elongated bulbs like canna lillies, which require larger holes than other bulb
- any project that requires a long-lasting tool to dig hundreds or thousands of holes with ease

Our tree planters are heavy duty earth augers constructed of the highest quality materials:
- 10-18 steel helicoid flighting
- 10-20 heavy wall mandrel drawn seamless tubing
- no.2 tool steel hardened cutter knives with up to a 59 rockwell hardness
- carbide bit nose
Although these augers are virtually indestructible, they will not drill rock.
These augers require a heavy duty 1/2” corded or gas powered drill to achieve optimum performance. At least eight amps are recommended.
Tree planters come in 3”, 4.5” and 5.5” diameters and are 24 inches in length. Extensions are available for an added length of 13 inches.
